I saw this movie a couple of days ago in theatres. It was basically the same as the first one: trying to connect freemasonry to everything. The plot was pretty good though.
I also noticed the mentions of Albert Pike, but they didn'y even say that he was a mason. Pretty dissapointing. "Say little and do much, and receive all men with a cheerful face." Shammai. George L Walters chapter! St. Louis, MO. Represent! |

Demolay rules,
Hey brother I had to comment on the National Treasures 2. I watched it here the other night. And needless to say it had apsolutly nothing to do with Freemasonry. I mean yes George Washington was a Mason but there was nothing to say that how it was in the first film. All he was trying to do was clear his Familys name. And that he did. Nothing for Masonry. But it was a good movie!!! Fraturanally, Brother Derek Runge |

I agree... It had less connection with freemasonry this time... When I watched it I didnt feel the same excitement that I felt with the first movie.. They shouldnt have made this movie... Its one of those sequels that dont follow through with the success of the original movie... Fraternally, Stephen Aganan Dr.Manuel S. When I watched it. For me it was exciting I live in South Dakota. But hardly anything was showed in the movie. I in some ways was disapointed in the production of this. It was good but more could of been done to make it a little better. But as I said not real connection with Freemasonry. except the book in the movie "Templar Treasure" Other wise it was good but not connection.

All I am saying brother Cadet is that when I went to see the movie. It was a good movie but it dident capture my eye to see any Masonic meaning to it. like the first movie that came out. I mean when he finds the optical glasses up behind the stone brick you see the square and compase and the G in the center. Plus the history behind the founding fathers. The whole thing was to clear the gates family name. First is was to find the Templar treasure and to keep it safe. There to me seemed not to much masonic realting in the whole National treasures two. But thats my opinion we all have our opinions.

What I don't understand is how did the city of gold went as far as South Dakota? I mean, the Aztecs built it right? so it should be located around Central America..
Another thing, how did Queen Victoria know about the treasure? Raymond Paul G. Bonoan Tomas L. Cabili Chapter |

Brothers,
I just find that quite amuzing to me is that they had the city of gold located in South Dakota my home state. I agree with you lance on that one. Kinda Weird. When I went a guy stood up and anouced that he was casted to be in the show and said that he woudl be in a certain place on the mount Rushmore scene. And wore the same cloths he wore in teh set. WEll we dident see him on screen but he said that when him and his wife were sitting there. Nicholas Cage walked right pasted them and just similed on set at them. I found that funny! Brother Derek |

Dear Brothers,
It's all true what you guys say but let's remember that the movie is made on myths and mysteries. This makes the movie more "Exciting". Brother lance you question about Queen Victoria got me thinking. And then I remembered that in the Movie they where looking for Cibola (City of Gold). Well Quivira and Cíbola are two of the fantastic Seven Cities of Gold existing only in a myth that originated around the year 1150 when the Moors conquered Mérida, Spain. According to the legend, seven bishops fled the city, not only to save their own lives but also to prevent the Muslims from obtaining sacred religious relics. Years later, a rumor circulated that in a far away land—a place unknown to the people of that time—the seven bishops had founded the cities of Cíbola and Quivira. The legend says that these cities grew very rich, mainly from gold and precious stones. This idea fueled many expeditions in search of the mythical cities during the following centuries. Many people went to look for it in Florida, New Mexico but never found anything. My point to the Queen Victoria question was that it says that seven bishops knew about them. The King and Queen back then had allot of connection with the Church so that's how she knew about it probably read it on a document. Well like I said before they movie is fiction and the writers tried to connect everything in their one way.
