Hey Brother "cadet778"

I agree It's a really great movie. Will smith did a terrific job with his character Robert Nevell.
The thing I liked the most about the movie was the silence... it made every scene more suspenseful.

I agree with all of you. It's a great movie, I went to see it last week. Just a question: Is it true that there's a book that the movie was based in?

The movie was like Resident Evil & Cast Away combined! I didn't like the ending though..

It would be harsh but it is much better to say that "It is much better to fight for the right principles than to fight for others." But for me, for the benefit of all.. It would be cool to do much what I can do..

"I Am Legend" is a book written in 1954 by Richard Matheson. In the book its more of a vampire story, in that the disease mirrors vampirism. It was also influential on the modern vampire and zombie genres. Other novels he wrote that were turned into movies were "What Dreams May Come" and "Stir Of Echoes" (came out about the same time as "Sixth Sense", and in my opinion was a much better movie), just to name a few. The DVD has an alternate ending that is much closer to the ending in the novel.

As for the needless self sacrifice of Robert Neville, sure after all he's been through you want him to have a break. But after his family was gone the only thing he was living for was finding a cure and he did.
