Ok so heres my new brilliant plan which i have already started doing.....As everyone may know myspace is a growing fad and is full of people....What i have done WITHOUT sharing the actual secret stuff i made a profile for jacques demolay for my jurisdiction and gave a brief summary about the order and its history.

What i have thought is that with so many people on myspace if you have acouple demolays or masonic family members add jacques then it may be an actual effective way of building membership....Think about it one add and then those people ask friends to add and then its just a never ending process and you keep on rollin. I think it was brilliant way because everyone uses myspace well most people and just i thought it was amazing.

I would appreciate it if some people can give me some input on the idea and give me some ideas on what to put on the profile....

Well, at worst, its not going to hurt anything, and at best you could get some members.
It definatly has some potential to get demolay out into the world, and for the public to know what DeMolay is. That is our biggest draw back. The public doesnt know who we are. If they hear we are associated with the masons, some may think that we are a cult. So, to overcome these, we need to be in the public, and this is one step to getting there.

The state officers started it as a way to communicate inside a program they use and it kind of flew off handle and became something much better....

this is exactly why i made it to spread our teachings and history but not the secret stuff just to tell young men around the world that we are here and willing to welcome the average teen boy that they have friends here

Yeah, and thats a good idea.
Our chapter has a myspace page, and a facebook group now. Although it hasnt been the best for getting new guys in, it has helped with letting people know about our upcoming events.
