Where can I find a copy of Gene Austin's 1958 recording of the song "Sweetheart of DeMolay"? This was the song that was used during my reign (oh so many moons ago) and I would love to be able to pass the tradition down to my children.

I have the sheet music, but have not been able to find recording, regardless of the number of "old wax" shops I have visited. Nor have I found it yet online.

I have the original Sheet music fron the 30s and have two recordings on vinal. One from the United States and one from Australia. Not sure how to get it on audeo file from record to send but can work on it.

I also have an old record of it. My turntables are in storage at the moment so not sure how to get a digital recording of it made.

Any ideas out there?

If is legal (I think it is, because the long time elapsed by the copyright of the music - find about the law there, ou US [I´m from Brazil]), there is a way to make it digital:

Link your vinil player on your sound board (it´s need a cable to plug where you link the speakers):

Your player (it´s write "speakers") --> the cable --> behind your PC (the blue or pink hole - you must try).

After do it, you need a tool to capture the audio (some of those come with Nero­(tm)): that tools are specially to record vinil, because the quality of recording. You play the vinil, click on button record, and when is done,click on stop.

Then, it´s only "file-->save" and save it like mp3 or other in your preference.

Well, Amy remembers the GOOD version. Unfortunately its not the sheet music version written by Gene Austin. And I know this is correct, because I have the sheet music in front of me (Training as a ibrarian NEVER trust your memory. The sheet music words are:

Chorus:

There are TWO songs by that name. The record is one version, the print music from Kansas City (Gene Austin) is a totally different song. The Austin words are:
