Being a recent arrival, less than a week, I have been scouring this forum catching up on quite a bit. Learning new things (The day you don’t learn something new, is the day you are dead.), gaining (what I hope is) wisdom, and getting my feet ‘soaking wet’ with the experience that is DeMolay.

After seeing all I have seen and reading all I have read, I would like to everyone to give a gigantic round of applause to Dad Dale Dietzman. Who, as far as I can see, answers almost every question on this forum and if he doesn’t have an answer he certainly has great bits of wisdom to share.

Thank you for your time and energy, Dad D. Keep up the good work.

Brother Larry,

Thanks for the good words, but I certainly don't have all the answers...somethimes I think I don't even know all of the questions.

I do have a lot of knowledge gained in almost 40 years of DeMolay, Active and Senior, and many of those Senior years as Advisor, at several Chapters and in various other positions.

That doesn't mean that what worked for me, in one set of circumstances, will work for everyone everywhere, or that what didn't work for me, won't work elsewhere; all I can do is offer whatever insite I have, and everyone else must decide what it is worth to them.

Mostly I just try to do the best that I can, for my Brother DeMolays, and hope that what I have to give is what they need, at least some of the time.

Also, sometimes I try to prod my "baby Brothers" to 'be all that they can be', which is, I believe, the primary purpose of a Dad. It is amazing to me how many extremely talented young men have no concept of what they are capable of, and need to be prodded into 'pushing the envelope', finding what they are capable of, and growing into the young men they are fully capable of becoming.

Fraternally,

Dad D.

Bro, you deserve them. To help people to learn things is save their lives of the darkness of the lack of wisdom. Thank you Dad D...
