Hello all, I am new to the forum my name is Charles Camden PMC, RD of the Fleur De Lis Chapter, (now defunct) from Gallipolis, Ohio. Due to a house fire I have lost my album with all my DeMolay awards. Which leads to my question, Is there a record kept in KC of awards (this would be from 1978-1983)given to DeMolays.The reason I am seeking these is I have cancer and am putting together a book for my children about the things i have done and been involved with during my life. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank You

DI does have records. They might be on microfilm from that far back. Call 1-800-DEMOLAY and talk to someone in Administration. I always talk to Betty when I call. They will be happy to help you.

To some degree it depends on what Awards you are talking about. Some awards have always been administered at the Chapter level, such as Merit Bars. DI would have no record of those, but would certainly take you at you word, on your honor as a DeMolay, and sell you replacements.

Around 1980, some other Awards, such as the RD and the PMC-MSA were decentralized to be adminstered the States. ISC/DI would have records of a PMC-MSA but not an RD, as the states still ordered the MSAs individually from Kansas City. Again, they would take you at your word on replacing RD regalia, if asked to, I'm sure.

Other Awards, like the DSA or the Life Saving medal, have always administered from KC, and would surely be on record.

Honors, like the Degree of Chevalier, are definately on record, as they are elected at Session every year by DI.
