Hey congrats at being elected to JC!!!! And for passing your Initatory degree Queries! Let me say when I had to do both Queries it was all at the same time!!! I memorized both Obligations and what the MC asked me and what I had to say! But good luck! And I just will give you some advise start planning on what you tend to do as MC when your time is up but also have fun. I spent 3 years in the east by election and I had a blast but I really love to do the floor work. Also I just petitioned the Lodge in my home town and start my EA degree in a couple of weeks so. DeMolay is a part of my life I wouldent trade for the world take that and make something in your life my brother.I Wish you the best in OUR ORDER!!!!

Hey I wish you the best of luck I take my EA degree This up comming Monday night and I am looking forward to it. WOW 8 1/2 years Unfortuantly I joined 1 of 3 guys that reopend our chapter back up and I needless to say am the only 1 out of the 3 that originally started it back up to still be in DeMolay. A jobie approached me one time and ask would I ever leave and I said no because DeMolay has given me something to hold on to and I woudlent do that. I can say I have spoke infront of 4 to 5 hundred people and that woudl be the FLOWER TALK or the Ceremony of Light! Master Councilor for 3 years dont ask me why but the brothers just relected me and I had to say I need to be on the floor! But In all I am the only guy in SD demolay right now to have a Blue Honor Key!! But I will not leave demolay by any means I am still going to be more then ever active I AM REALLY ACTIVE NOW !!! But I will contiune to be. Well ill let youknow brother how it goes on Monday!! IF I make it or not! Jokeing jokeing
I know I will also. The thing is its a lot like DeMolay in that how they iniate you. You are blind floded ect... But the fact I dont know is what is getting me but Hey its gonna be fun and cool. Just it takes so darn long to go through the 3 degrees. not like in DeMolay you walk in get two degrees in one night and then hope that someday you get nominated for the 3 degree (Chevialer degree) Peace my brother.
Congratulations on being elected to receive the Degrees of Masonry. There are reasons that things you go through in the EA degree are done. I reccommend that you get with your instructor as often as you can. I learned my EA work in 18 clock hours it took me about 2-1/2 weeks to learn it. Be glad you are young and your mind is strong and sharp. I was 24 when I started my EA on September 20, 1979 and was raised to the MM degree on December 6, 1979. When I went through in Texas, we had to wait a lunar month or 28 days before we could advance to the next degree. I did my Fellowcraft's Degree at the end of October, 1979, turned in my Proficiency a week later and had to sluff off a month or so before my Master's Degree. I had a bunch of people that wanted to see me get raised. One cool thing happened to me though. The DeMolay who was M.C. when I got in DeMolay came to my Lodge that was 90 miles from his home and was Worshipful Master in all three of my Masonic Degrees. All you have to do is relax and listen to what is told you during the Degrees and you wont have any problems. Yes, it is exciting and can tend to create a little stress, but you will come through with flying colors.
Good Luck.

Thanks first of all! The prosses is long but WE are about the same for each degree. I can go Short Form and of Course Long form. Just my Brother is the Secritary of Hiram Lodge #123 Ft.pierre SD. And needless to say I have no say in what form I take so Its gonna be long form. But that is good. Because I was instructed that you learn a lot more that way then if you go like we do up here a ONE day degree! I am doing mine with the FT.pierre lodge and That is something I am looking forward to. Exciting not knowing what to expect. But the memorizing is nothign for me to do. I am a Flower Talker and I have given the Ceremony of light and also memorized which I portray DeMolay in the Demolay degree plus the ritual so its not that difficult. But the best honor is my father has only gone through EA and FC and there was a big out burst with him and my brother that ended up that he said he wasnt going to take his MM degree. well my Dad which he was presented his 50 demolay pin this november approached me and said Derek me and you both will take the MM degree at the same time. And get raised together! So i find that a honor and a privilage as does he. Other then that I got 4 days till I start!
congrats and your welcome brothers i hope u get where you want to go in no time at all im a little jelous because i am not yet of age to join the masons of yet but will when i hit the age and continue the family's eight hundred year line if let in so quite a legacy to live up to lol
