My name is Istvan, I live in Hungary, in Central Europe. I am a Brother of the Symbolic Grand Lodge of Hungary. I would like to know more about you, your association, your rules, etc.

Why is this interesting to me?

I am interested in DeMolay, because now we have an exchange student from Brazil, so does our son lives in Mexico until August. The Brazilian boy is a member of DeMolay in his country.
There is no tradition of DeMolay Community in Hungary, that is why now my son, me and my Mason friends decided to organize a chapter in the near future.

First of all, I would like to know more about the European community; I’ve already started the communication with your European representative, Ward Williamson.
Second, I would like to find DeMolay Association in the southern part of Mexico.
Our son is living now in Comitán de Dominguez, Chiapas region, and I wonder if he has any DeMolay chapter is near to him.

Dear DeMolay members, masons,

Please, let me know, what is your opinion, how could we start the organization of a DeMolay chapter in Hungary, have you any practice guide regarding the steps of the organization.

Please inform me, if you know something about DeMolay in Mexico, and I will give you the address, and e-mail address of my son.

In this summer I will stay a few weeks is Mexico, so I would be very happy if I could have a possibility to meet some of them.

The Order of the DeMolay Is a group of young men that meet togeather once or twice a month. They are normally chartered by and Masonic Loade in the area and are tought the virtues of Love, Reverance for all that is sacred, Coursey, Comradeship fidelity, Cleanness, and Patroitism. I am now a Master Mason myself and I started my journey in the DeMolay when I was 13 year of age, I am now a Sr. DeMolay. I have been involved with this order for 27 years. I am like you in one sense that I am tring to start a Chapter for the DeMolay here in the States myself. At the top of the page if you will hit the Membership button it will exsplain a lot of what the DeMolay are and do. It teaches our sons a lot and how to be better people too.

At the moment I do not believe that DeMolay "officially" exists in Mexico, though I do remember talk on this forum about some interest in Northern Mexico in starting a DeMolay Chapter.

It sounds exciting to be on the ground floor of bringing DeMolay to a new country. I would like to start a Chapter in my part of Alaska, but I have not been able to get in contact with the local lodge, Kenai Lodge #11, in Soldotna, AK.

I sure you'll get a lot of advice from members of this forum. Good luck in Hungary!

if you would like to start demolay in hungary feel free to contact Luciano Critelli which is Executive Officer DeMolay in Italy and that only 10 years ago started DeMolay in Italy with few members, and now DeMolay Italy counts over 150 members.
