Doing a powerpoint for something at my chapter... does anyone know/can anyone find the order in which the pearls were changed to rubies? I can find the order of the names and when they passed away, but I also know that the rubies did not replace the pearls in any sort of predicable pattern.

In other words, when there were 5 pearls and 5 rubies, for example, which five were they on the emblem?

I would like this for one through ten.

Unfortunately this is impossible to do, since the design got changed near the end.

One jewel, that had been a ruby since 1947, got changed back to a pearl, then changed back to a ruby again, later.

The original idea seems to have been to try to keep things symmetrical, to have as near an equal number of rubies on each side as possible.

When there were two there was one on each side of the sides. When there were four, there was on on each side of the bottom added to the first two.

When they got down to just two pearls, however, they were put together instead of on opposite sides, which changed one of the very first rubies, in the middle of the left side, as we look at the emblem, back to a pearl. Of course, later, it changed back to a ruby.

No one has ever been able to explain to me the rational for that change, but it happened.

You ccould just have the order they died...

The Last one was Jerome Jacobson (upper left hand side). In the grand scheme of things the order of change doesn't really matter.
